Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City, CA is currently showing new paintings and drawings by Audrey Kawasaki, Amy Sol, Mari Inukai, and Stella Im Hultberg in their exhibition “In The Wake of Dreams.”
Among the works on display are recent figurative and ornamental paintings by Kawasaki and Hultberg, recent paintings and drawings from Sol, and new work by Inukai including her series “Sekaiseifukudan”, in which she paired with new company Inner Sanctum to create a line of meticulously crafted toys of clear silicone with suspended hearts. “Sekaiseifukudan,” which translates literally as “world-conquer-team,” features seven Taoism-influenced characters who reoccur in Inukai’s bright and fanciful oil paintings.
Exhibition runs until Oct. 29th.
